Optical Assistant Position
A very exciting opportunity has become available for a customer focused Optical Assistant who is looking for a full-time career move with a relaxed, modern independent opticians.
You will be working in an upmarket practice in Rugeley with a company who have built up a strong reputation for quality and customer service.
They now have an opening in one of their practices due to an internal promotion, for a experienced Optical Assistant who is a friendly, personable, team player to continue to deliver to the highest standards.
Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role.
Requirements of the Optical Assistant
My client is looking for applicants with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role and the ability to dispense to all levels is essential with a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic. A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Compensation for the Optical Assistant
For your efforts they are looking at the new living wage of £11.44, based on a 37.5 hour working week, a salary of £22,308.
They also offer a practice-based bonus scheme as well as extra incentives and challenges with rewards.
Additional benefits include discounts with one free pair of specs per year, an additional 4 pairs at cost price, friends/ family discount as well as free parking just outside the practice.
There are also long-term opportunities for development and progression within the company.
